    You're right too Ian image.  No point labouring over a patch you won't use. 

    My parents have been gradually reducing their lawn over a number of years, finally getting rid of the last square in one fell swoop last summer.  No more mowing, spiking, raking etc.  They love it ?

    Wise words from Frank (as always), when he says "Each to their own...a garden is built as we wish to use it".
