Just moved in to a new house and this is the existing lawn. Want to know what it is so I can give it specific treatment.

the "treatment" I'd give it would be: leave alone until it starts growing in spring, then mow it regularly.

Why the endless British obsession with trim manicured lawns ? image

My grass stays green , never gets fed , gets walked on endlessly through the year and even rewards me with a few daisies and blue-speedwells in the summer !

It is , to myself , simply a 'green-walkway' to the garden proper .

Moss stays greenish in a drought. Lawn weeds are prettier than grass

    In London. Keen but lazy.
