Pyracantha berry problem

Hello everyone
We have an issue with our pyracantha berries - we had a lot of flowers, but the berries have just turned black. The plant is about 10 years old and this has happened the last couple of years.
Do any of the lovely forum people have any ideas why this can happen? Thank you!

Thank you so much Dovefromabove. You always are so helpful on these posts. Looking at the link this is exactly the issue and now we know what we need to do.
Hopefully some rigorous clearing of leaves will help keep the problem under control and get the autumn colour back in your garden.
