Where have all the brussels gone?

Hi everyone
I live in N Wales and grow organic brussels every year on my four bed crop rotation. This year I had a healthy looking crop and then last week I went out to check the plants and to my amazement the whole lot was gone. One plant out of 10 has been stripped to the stems. I cannot see any aphids, caterpillars etc and the crops has been netted since planting.
I phoned three organic shops that I buy from and they told me that there is a problem this year and sprouts are in very short supply and a grower in Hereford reports none at all.
Does anyone know what might be causing this?

You mean that there were sprouts and now there are none?
Sounds to me as if somebody has been helping themselves
