Monkey puzzle seed

I have recently invested in s vitopod and must say this is absolutely a great piece of kit. It is fully heated and I planted my seeds just over a month ago and with astonishing results.Ive had it set at 18 -20 degrees.

I would like to know when should I take out has I have had great results they are popping out of the seeds and almost 1 inch long.

Not sure what hardening off really means when it comes to plants. I hope for some good advice on these has I feel that Im doing very well and don’t want to loose any. Anyone to answer ?

Monkey puzzles don't need a lot of heat. If they have germinated, I would take them out of the propagator and into small pots of loamy compost or garden soil. Then keep them in a cold greenhouse or cold frame over winter, just giving them protection from the worst of the weather.

  • Thanks for advice Because they are popping through , they are interesting little things but always wanted to grow them.
