Box hedge sempervivens buxus

I grew three box balls from cuttings a few years ago. They are now a decent size. Does anyone know when is the best time to transplant them into larger pots and what compost to use?

Thank you Philippa for your reply. The box balls vary between 16 - 18 inches in circumference and are about one foot high. I have already pruned them into shape a bit. Since moving from Cornwall to north Devon a couple of years ago they do not seem to be doing so well. That why I was thinking about repotting them. You have already given me advice on compost but do you know the best time to repot?
