Plant names website?

Does anyone know of a website that would be able to give me plant names (alphabetically) for choosing named plants.

For example I might want to find a plant called 'Mad Penguin' (image ) and I would be able to find any plant that had that name or a variant be it a rose, cactus or tree.

Thanks in advance.

  • Isn't that what Google does so well?

eg.  I put 'plants named Emily' into Google and have been given loads of websites about different types of plant called Emily ... including a rose and a auricula.

That works for a lot of plants but you also get a lot of other stuff to sift through so was just wondering if there was a plant specific site.

If not Google will do for now!!

If you type "plant+cultivar+Emily" you get a more precise search with less stuff to sift out.

    That's a good idea.

Google is great as long as you know roughly what you are looking for.
