This plant grows in friend‘s garden and I have been unable to help her identify it.
She was given a rooted piece and was told to be careful on planting as it “gets into everything”. It seems to spread by overground stems which take root.
It has a rosette of course, prickly leaves, is very low-growing and had beautiful mid-blue flowers.
Poor quality photo I’m afraid but hoping someone can help.
Many thanks.

Thanks. I meant coarse, not course, of course!

Thank you very much. Feels good to give it a name. My friend will be grateful too when I pass on the identification.
