Hi Kate 7,good try at tree id,but silver surfer is right about seeds,I collected a seed pod full of yellow seeds, the pod is brown and like a large fat very tough broad bean, everything points to ss id of Brachychiton acerifolius, Just got to get them to germinate now, Thanks for all the help folks

Kate 7 I thought Papaya had freshy fruit which contain the seeds rather than brown dry pods.

In addition Carica papaya leaves are a completely different shape.
