over wintering dahlias

Hi what should I use to preserve dahlia tubers  over the 

winter?

    I wrap the tubers in old newspaper and store in a dry frost-free place. That's all.

    Thanks Papi Jo. That is easy. Will a cardboard box do?

    Thanks Doghouse Rile. So just to confirm I can wrap them in paper and cover with some compost. I have been looking online and there are so many ways from some saying do not wash them to others  saying do. It can be confusing to say the least.

    No need to wash them. Just dry and frost-free.
