Is my bay tree dying?

Hi there

I have 2 bay trees outside my front door with twisted stems in pots.

One of them has started to turn a brownish green and gone a bit crispy, where as my other is luscious and green still. They are in the same place and get the same watering.

I have scraped the bark and can see it is green so assume it is just a little sad rather than dead, is there anything I can do to help it out?

Thanks

Get it out of the wind - it's probably more exposed than the other one for some micro-climatic reason. They don't want to be indoors in Winter but they do need protection from cold winds.

  • You took the words right out of my mouth Rgirl ... I bet the wind whips around the corner of the house or up an alleyway and hits that tree harder than the other.
