Help identify weed
Hi can anyone help identify this weed? Its growing randomly across my lawn and gain traction. I searched many sites with photos but cant seem to find it. Secondly how do you get rid of it? It seems unaffected by standard weed killers and i haven't been able to dig it out. Many thanks in advance.

Sorry folks i cant get an image to upload?

Got it just had to use the laptop.
They look like cyclamen. Not weeds, worth keeping.
Got them all over my lawn too ... Cyclamen hederifolium ... have they spread from elsewhere in the garden .... they'll die down before too long and you won't see anything of them until they flower in the late summer/autumn and the leaves appear after the flowers.

Thanks for the reply Alan looked up cyclamen and I agree, the issue is they are just single leaves growing in the lawn it never clusters or starts to shoot just another leaf pops up further along. Because of that I would like rid. Seems they are grow from a bulb? might not be possible to clear?
Regards Ian
Just dig down and pull out the little corm ... it won't be deep.
It can look gorgeous, given time

Thanks guys They do look beautiful when clustered and flowering.
Maybe I should try to find a few and get them growing away from the lawn.
Is it impossible to eradicate from the lawn without turfing?
Regards Ian
I'd just lift out a divot of turf with a small trowel and you'll find a brown corm at the bottom of the stem ... it won't be that far down ... the you can replace the divot.

You can cut down to the bulbs with a butter knife, get them out and the turf will be undamaged. Or spray a couple of times with selective weedkiller during a season.
