Soaking grass

 Hi.

my garden is built on top of an old curling rink and has solid concrete about 2-3 feet down with soil and grass on top. We also have large trees At the end of the garden Which block light too! I’ve tried to break through the concrete but not even a pneumatic drill works. Is there anything anyone can recommend to help dry out the ground so he kids can play in the garden please?

many thanks

I think it would be easier to build drains in the soil about 2 ft down, carry the water into a drain.

Land drains do sound like the only realistic option.  If there is any part of the garden which isn't on concrete, digging soakaways and directing the land drains to them would be the most effective method, if it's not possible to connect to the existing drains from the house.
