Garden Fence Posts - concrete spurs
Wanting to replace existing 75mm fence posts on top of a wall held/supported with Metpost brackets bolted on top of the brick wall which is level with my property and a 1.2m drop on the nieghbours side.
I want to use 100mm x 1.8m high posts, not wanting to rely on Metpost brackets as previous.
Could I use concrete spurs sunk against the wall on my side with Postcrete. Then bolt the posts to the spurs.

Don't see why not Terry, but wouldn't it be easier just to concrete the posts into the ground rather than bolting them onto spurs?
Perhaps I've misunderstood what you're trying to do though
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
The reason for using metposts or concrete spurs is that timber posts rot in the ground. Using either of the options prevents that happening.
Thanks all,
Could do as suggested, but that could bring the fence some 150/200mm further onto my side of the 'dividing line'.
