Kaffir Lime - Citrus hystrix

I have a 3ft height / width (5 years old) Kaffir Lime - is starting to look tired - should I repot / refresh compost etc and when to do ?

I had a small one but I couldn't make it happy and it didn't survive ... It lived on our kitchen windowsill but it's East facing and I think it needed more sunlight. A friend in Cornwall grows them in a bright conservatory. Good luck.
