I bought two packs of snowdrops yesterday from a local outlet. There was only one pack of regular wild snowdrop bulbs while the others were labelled 'rockery snowdrops'. I found this confusing...are there snowdrops hybridised to prefer rockeries?
That's what I thought punkdoc thank you. No not wild ones, from cultivated stock it says on the label. I should perhaps have said 'regular' snowdrops as in not fancy hybridised ones.

No, just a meaningless label i think.
Hope they were not wild Snowdrops.

Let me know if you want anymore, they are better planted just after they finish flowering.
Thanks Lyn. Everywhere I read it says to plant them 'in the green'. That said, last year I bought dry bulbs and early this year they flowered
As you know, they multiply here like slugs?
I tried bulbs but I was only able to get mine going by getting some "in the green" from a relative.
Now mine are doing much better than hers. (They are on chalk.) with thin soil.
