I would like to plant some seedlings of this plant next spring.and would be interested if anybody could advise of the likely first year height of growth in a south facing garden
Plant them in pots and transfer them to the ground after frost, but don't forget to stake them well because the branches are very brittle. Mine was very pretty when a storm played Jason and slashed it away !

In the UK., these are annuals so will die after flowering.
They grow to about 6 foot.

Sarah Raven is the only supplier I can find who offers seedlings-they are available from May.
When would you advise moving the seedlings from the pots to outside?
I dont have a greenhouse-would a warmish lounge suffice do you know?

Light is more important than heat, whilst indoors.
They should not go out, until after the last frosts, but they will need continually potting on, into bigger pots, whilst they are indoors.
