Ask them to send you a sample; that’s what we did. It is like a tarpaulin but plasticised both sides. It’s very flexible but not stretchy.

Based in Sussex, I garden to encourage as many birds to my garden as possible.

One of the regulars here (Lyn) has the 25 yr liner from Bradshaw's, and I bought the same one for the pond I have here. I think it's the one Redwing is also talking about. Take a look at their online sites and you'll get an idea of price. They often have deals on as well. I recently made my tiny pond a bit bigger and the liner was free.

I bought one about 15  years or more ago which was identical, for a previous pond. It's still there - I live round the corner from it now, and a lady I was chatting to last week told me there are now newts in it. image

     Hi, thats me!

I have the Bradshaw liner, brown side up, it’s actually got a lifetime guarantee, don’t know who’s lifetime they refer to but I’m sure it will see me out?

This is ours, there are a lot of items and article of interest on this site, I love it.

Couple of pictures of the project. This is a good time to do it, you can collect all the rain water in butts and bins and let the pond naturally fill up. It doesn’t take long, if you have lots of shelter and wild grass and weeds around the edge the frogs will be spawning next Spring.  It’s a lovely project and a great time waster, you can sit down there with your coffee and just listen to the creatures.

Thank Lyn! Pond looks great! Unfortunately I need to fill with a hose as no water butts yet. I can’t fit them to the house yet as they will restrict access, but once I have a shed .... oh to dream! I could let it fill naturally of course, but I have GOT to get a project finished! I’ve so many on the go it’s bonkers And I’m on the verge of creating a worse building site than the one I started with!! Having something nice to look at and a completed project (bar some plants) will keep me going lol! We already have frogs in the garden, which is amazing considering the rubble and lack of vegetation! They kept scaring me half to death by jumping out when I planted a small bed up lol! So fingers crossed the pond will soon have residents!
