Thermal Imaging Camera for Wildlife

Can anyone recommend a thermal imaging camera that would pick up wildlife in our garden or in the woods opposite at night? Thinking of buying my husband one for Christmas but think they might be too expensive.

My friend has been looking for just that. I think she said Lumix had a nice one? It will be interesting to see what other forumites come up with ?
Not sure what I'm after now. We have cctv which works at night but what would we use if we wanted to see what we can see over in the woods in real time? or is the trail cam mobile?

If MayLane wants to be able to see wildlife in the garden and in the woods I suspect she is going to need a camera with zoom lens and the ability to pan/tilt. I can't imagine that's going to be cheap, and rather more complicated than the standard household security camera.

I guess night time binoculars will be expensive?
