Grass ID

DYLDYL Posts: 67

I planted this grass several months ago but I don't have the label to help identify it. Can anyone tell me what it is from the photographs as I would like to plant more in another border.

Can grasses be planted ok at this time of year, or is it better to now wait until Spring?

I agree Edd, from here it certainly looks like one of the carexes.  image

I've found carexes to self seed quite prolifically, so look out for little ones next year image

This is my favourite ... each leaf ends in a little  curly spiral ... absolutely delightful

Many grasses establish better if planted in spring, if you're in an area with a lot of winter wet.

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
