Apple Tree Problems
Could somebody possible help me out with a Apple Tree problem? Basically I noticed this summer that only the right side of my tree was looking healthy. The other side has some dead branches that are peeling there bark.

To see if the tree recovers. It now has some black sludge and fungus around the base.
Can anybody advise if this tree can be treated and saved??

Honey fungus which is terminal I'm afraid. When the tree is removed, you should also get the roots dug or ground out otherwise they will act as a 'home base' and the fungus will send out rhizomes which will kill other trees and woody shrubs in the area.
