Hi guys my mum is really curious to find out what this plant is that was here when we moved in. It's around 7" tall we think it's a type of fern, please help shed some light on it.

Looks like Taxus baccata 'Fastigiata' ; or Irish Yew ; expensive to buy , nurture it . Berries are toxic to us , but not to blackbirds
; nothing to do with ferns !!

In hindsight , maybe you were referring to what looks like Herb Robert (Geranium robertianum) growing near its base !
Oh wow thanks that's really good to know we've got a special little yew!
Do you like cacti by any chance ?
