Please help! Peony turning yellow!

Hi all! Please can anyone advise me as to what is happening to my peony? It's turning yellow. All of it leaves and stems. I've never grown one before and this doesn't look like winter setting in, it doesn't look healthy.image I have attached a picture, I'd really like to be wrong and someone tell me it's just the change in season but if not, please help!!!

As far as I can see there is nothing wrong.  Mine are doing the same thing. Peonies all  do that in winter. Just cut the stems back to the ground and remove the dead leaves to the compost. They will come back in the spring.

Yes they just go soggy which is why they need removing.
