My aloe vera needs help!

So basically the base leaves won't stay up and I've noticed them a lot thinner at the very base of the leaf. The leaf itself is plump and full but they are quite heavy. Could this be the reason behind it? I usually water it once-twice per month and it's sitting next to the window.

    Hi Michelle image

Can you post a photo of your plant please?  Start with the camera icon ... if it doesn't upload try reducing the size.

I agree with Philippa ... it's fine ... but  put it on a sunny windowsill for the winter and in the summer move it to a slightly less sunny one. image

  • Amazing! Thank you so much for your help. It's on the brighter spot in my house, I live in England so it won't be getting much sun in the following months and the pot was the only one available at the time. Do you think I should repot it in a smaller one or just let it grow in this one? x
