Watching programme last night, saw article on growing peppercorns. Where can I get seed/plant , and will they grown in North Norfolk

    Pansy image  Monty was growing Szechuan pepper, not black pepper.  Szechuan peppers are a type of citrus tree and can be grown outside in the UK.

    I didn't know pepper grew on so many different plants.  Until recently my relatives in Los Angeles had a wonderful, big, crooked, gnarly tree in their garden that produced black peppercorns.  It was over 100 years old and they were very sad when it contracted some disease and had to be felled.

    NoSquintPlus by Baris Derin is an add on for Firefox or Chrome ; magnifier works perfectly on GW forum , plus you can get rid of the 'white-screen' to any colour you like .

    Don't know if that's any use to pansyface image .

    Dove from above thanks have placed an order , thanks all for feedback . This has been my first time to seek advice like this and is quite impressive to see such constructive feedback. Ps hope my wife likes the present !

    Dove from above ....will let you know, I have a very sunny spot planned. But is really a present for my wife who has the green fingers.

    Hi Simon, so glad you asked the question, I'm keen to get one too, i had no idea we could grow our own peppercorns, i'm in norfolk too ;) good luck with it, i'm sure your wife will be chuffed ;)

    Will this one also produce peppercorns ZANTHOXYLUM piperitum
