I was wondering if anyone could help me out by identifying the plant in the front of this picture?

The leaves are touching the car :)

     Thank you - I had managed to convince myself that it was Japanese Knotweed!!

    Edd is right, it is a Buddleia.  Can you remember what colour the flowers were Chris.  There are many types of Buddleia, blue, purple, white or orange flowers come to mind.  Which ever it is, the butterflies love these shrubs and with good pruning they can be neatly controlled and will flower year after year.
