Yes, pear rust. Pick off affected leaves and bag and bin them. Rake up fallen leaves and mulch the soil beneath the tree to help prevent recurrence in the future.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Not that I'm aware of, and there's no need anyway. The leaves are about to fall and good garden hygiene as I described above helps prevent the spores overwintering on fallen leaves and now you know what to look for you can remove any affected leaves next year before it spreads over the whole tree.

Remove any similar infected leaves and spray with an "Anti Fungal" once the frost hits it. especially in the joints... Then wait till spring and .. Dont ask me how to time this but.. JUST BEFORE the buds pop spray it again.and again a week later.... if its in a container you could try to keep it dry and only water from underneath. I used bayer fungus fighter plus. You might not cure it but it will help.

Best not to let them get to that stage. Next year, keep an eye on the leaves and pick-off any which develop orange spots.
Thank you very much for identifying the problem. Affected leaves now removed and burned.. Is there any thing I can spray with....?
