Bosch rotak 43 blade problem

Hi All,
I have a rotak 43 lawnmower and broke the drive belt when cutting grass way too long. I replaced the belt but now when i turn the lawnmower on the blade spins for around 5 seconds then stops. I remove the power lead from the socket and lawn mower wait a while (a few hours at point) but the same thing happens.
Any pointers on what to look out for ?

not a great one, but thanks for taking you time to post :-)
My guess would be some sort of thermal cutout due to a fault, possible created when the belt snapped. The motor may have overheated because there wasn't the expected resistance and it revved too fast.
I'd have thought Hostafan1's suggestion was a positive one. Who better to diagnose a fault on Bosch equipment?
