I like the Showa 310 gloves. Last for ages, latex palm side and cotton, breathable back. I have a few pairs on the go and wash them regularly and tumble dry if necessary with other laundry. £3.26 on Amazon with free delivery.
Trouble is our Wilkos have now abandoned their gardening section to Chrismas decorations.
I have just found the "missing* Briars thermal glove by poking around the floor of my Wendy house on my hand and knees. I could do with my garden gloves on a string through my coat sleeves .
I have found the Spontex reinforced rubber gloves for gardening to be extremely useful. They are (relatively) cheap enough to ditch when they have outlived their usefulness, but strong enough - and waterproof - for most gardening tasks. Not so good for really difficult brambles etc, but otherwise more than up to the task. Well, with the exception of pricking out little seedlings, but otherwise pretty good. And available in the local supermarket, so I can pretend that the cost is part of the overall housekeeping budget!

'You must have some bread with it me duck!'
Iamweedy,
Was it you who bought up all the gloves in Wilko's just before Christmas started at the end of September?
