Could anyone tell me what this plant is please. It has suddenly appeared in my son's garden.

Mallow, Malva sylvestris is a wild plant. There are a number of horticultural varieties in all shades of white, pink, purple etc.

Thanks all. Would you advise my son to pull it out? Is it likely to take over otherwise. It's very pretty but he doesn't want it everywhere.
