Slight problem, at the bottom of the garden.

    Which part of the picture should we be looking at?  Is that a poop on the left, and you want to know whose it is?  Do you want to identify the plants, or the cause of the leaf damage?

    Its the leaf damage. The holes and the white discolouration.( I hope its just chipped bark, and not poo!)

    It doesn't look like slugs, but could well be. It only targets certain plants. Weird

    I don't usually worry too much about it at this end of the year.  


    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

    There is slug damage, too.

    The white areas are leaf miner. It can be unsightly, but it's not too big an issue. I get it on sweet peas as the season goes on, but if they look really bad, I take the affected leaves off. 

    The holes are slugs/snails. The healthier the plants are, the better they are at shrugging off damage. You might need some more effective slug  control next year!

    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
