Pruning Hebes
in Plants
Hi
I have a few hebe's in the garden which have finished flowering.
Is there much point in dead heading the hold flowers or will they just fall off naturally during the winter. Also what is the best time and technique for pruning these to encourage more growth next year.
Thanks in a advance

You can prune them back now, but not too far back. If you are maintaining a shape, best leave that to next year in spring time. In the growing season, when flowers go over, you can prune them back and they will repeat flowers on some varieties.
Thank you
