Grape vine identification

We inherited this grapevine when we moved into our house and it's now bearing grapes which I'd like to make a couple of bottles of wine with.

Can anyone help identify the type of grape?

Boskoop Glory is also frequently grown outside in the UK and also has pips.  The leaves also have very good autumn colour.

I wouldn't be worrying about the variety ... I'd just make the wine ... the sweetness and therefore the amount of additional sugar needed varies from season to season as well as variety.

  • I've just cut a grape open. They do, indeed, have pips....

  • They taste pretty good! Nice and sweet.

This will be my first smash at homemade wine. I'll pick them tomorrow, add some blackberries for a little extra taste, ferment it etc, and will see what it tastes like it around a year... then save it for visitors I don't really like that much, probably! ;)
