Cherry Laurel
Hi, I have. Huge Cherry Laurel hedge in my garden.
What I would like to know is can I burn the leaves. I have had opposing views on the subject and don't know what to do.
They don't break down easily and I don't know how to keep on top of them. Any advise would be truly appreciated.

I mow them up, or shatter them with a mower and leave them or put them through the shredder.
I can't see why you can't burn them if you have bonfires, but I don't.
In the sticks near Peterborough
No doubt someone will come along and say we are poisoning the atmosphere because they contain cyanide.
Sorry, I meant burning the dried up leaves.
