    Looks like Tradescantia pallida , or Spiderwort .

    Tradescantia Pallida. In the UK it's a houseplant but it's very easy to grow from cuttings. Here in the NE I use it as ground cover and trailer in pots outdoors. You can root the tips in water, pot up and overwinter in small pots rather than over winter larger plants.

     Not if your summerhouse is in the UK ... it won't survive our winters outside.  


    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

    It's not hardy here, as already said, so use it outdoors in a sunny spot over summer. If you only want a pot or two, you can overwinter the pots in their entirety, but otherwise, follow Bilje's advice and take cuttings for using next year. 

    It's native to hot, dry countries, so that's always a good indicator for it's use here.  image

    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
