blodgy lawn

Please can anyone give lawn-help?

I am totally at a loss about  the way my new 6 x 6 metre lawn planted 1-4-17 is growing.  It is blotchy

Background:

This was a wild area.  I spent 4 months from January digging, de-stoning and flattening.  I researched carefully and  bought a verified lawn seed mix

I fertilised the whole are uniformly.  I shook the bag of seeds well before planting,  But from the start some areas sprouted quickly - a month before others.  Now my lawn has nearly total grass coverage (95%) but is every week or so developing bright green patches where the grass grows taller, and which have a patch in the middle that goes brown and then dies.  These "burnt looking" areas heal.  But then new ones arrive somewhere else.

When I was preparing the area I dug it all deeply 3 or 4 times.

I have a male 11 months puppy who has been "done", and a neighbour's girl dog who has not been done, and I know sneaks through the fence.  But it has been raining a lot recently...?

Please help.  I have spent huge amounts of time and effort on this lawn, including removing boulders.

Thank you in advance

  • The latest "burnt" area on this lawn is about a metre long, and 6 inches wide.

I am uploading 3 photos here showing what is happening to my lawn.  The light brown, long scar (perhaps nearly a metre) has bright green grass round it.  The small round dead patch also has dark green round it.  But I am at the same time getting just patches of dark green surrounded by light  green (less healthy?) areas.
