Actinidia kolomikta not growing

Hello GWers, I planted an Actinidia kolomikta back in May, it was about 40cm tall, I planted it correctly and tied it loosely to a trellis for it to grow up, ...but it has not grown up! It’s perfectly healthy looking, one or two new leaves but that’s about it. I watered it according to advice and we’ve had good sunshine for most of this summer.
Is this normal to have such little growth?

May take a year or two to establish ; just keep well watered and well-fed during the growing season .
I didn't realise that cats find them very attractive , and apparently eat the plants to ground . If you've a 'moggy' , keep away
