Bad veg crop

I have a small patch in my garden were i grow veg all the plants have grown very well but the crop results are very poor, all the veg itself are only half the size it should be can suggest a solution.

Most likely a deficiency in your soil but hard to say what without a bit more info on exactly what has done badly and in what way

My sweetcorn the plants are 4 foot high but corns are only 2 inches. beetroot has high top only small ball bottom, celery 14 high but stems only 1/4 inch,thick cauliflowers only 6 inches high with 1 inch heart then going to seed, my onions high tops small bottoms.
I have had this problem for 2 years I stopped putting manure on as i thought it
was over manured.

My peas and broad beans were doing well until the heat wave in May stopped every thing growing and as a result the crops failed. I also had to sow Swede three times
Brassicas qnions and leeks have done well so i think my problem was lack of water at germination time which is something I will watch if the same thing happens next year
