Olive tree

i are been given an Olea Europaea which is about five feet tall, it is in a pot. I live in the North West and don’t have a greenhouse. Would the plant survive if the pot was placed in a shed which has three windows or am I better placing it in a sheltered part of the garden with fleece/ bubble wrap around the pot?
Thank you

Sheds , like unheated greenhouses , can get bitingly cold during winter . Olives can withstand about -5C for short periods , especially if on the dry side .
Your shed would certainly protect from freezing winds , which can be a killer ; save having to fleece too !
Your call !
Thanks Paul. I'll bear that in mind.
I live in Southern England and this is how I protect my olive tree in winter. Mr Redwing made the box out of an old crate and I stuffed it full of insulation. When frost is forecast I put some over the top as well. The wall is SE facing.
Thanks Redwing that certainly is a good option, out with saw and stews!
