Help! What is this mushroom/fungus and the slimy black accompanying stink!

Found this in the garden today and am at a loss at how to tackle it. It has a horrible putrid smell, and i'm worried it is some sort of mould (I have quite severe asthma) so am wary of spreading spores if so.
Please help! Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Can't tell what sort of fungi you have there at that stage ... Looks as if it's been there a few days and is almost over. Within a couple of days it will be gone. If you're concerned that it may affect your chest just keep away and don't disturb it and it'll disappear harmlessly.
