cuttings aftercare
Ok, so I've an acer cutting that has been under a propagator for 6 wks and now has a small root poking out of the root riot cube - should I pot this up? there hasn't been any other roots coming through as yet.
should any other cuttings turn out ok (loads have not, perhaps i'd be better off taking them in spring next time), what is best practice here?
i've already begun hardening off the cuttings now as the season is coming to an end anyhow so i thought it best to start on this. there are one or two camellia cuttings that very slowly seem to be showing signs of life.
i also had a spirea cutting that i thought was dead until i tugged it out only to find a very small root system in place. i tried to put it back into the compost - i assume the few others are ok based on this so just left them alone.
presumably it's ok to keep these cuttings outside, or should i keep them on windowsills indoors over winter? (camellia, spirea, buddleia). would they be hardy enough?

If we knew more about what your aims are, what you are growing and what facilities, conditions and space you have we might be better able to offer advice.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Dove from above,
I thought I already specified the plants as I was growing in my original post.
The cuttings are in a propagator, growing at 21 degrees (though I have gradually started to reduce this). I have indoor and outdoor space.
In terms of aims, is wanting to experiment with cuttings not one that you deem worthy of consideration?
