Whats eating my Elaeagnus x ebbingei trees?

We recently planted 5 Elaeagnus x ebbingei trees in our garden and I have noticed something is eating them and the leaves are turning yellow. Any ideas what it could be or how to treat it? A few ants running up and down but no sign of anything else. Any help appreciated, new to gardening!
