Trees Actually
We have a lovely blue spruce tree in our garden, which always looks healthy and obviously likes it's position.
In June 2010, the tree produced several large seed pods as seen in these photos, but nothing in the 7 years prior to that, or since.
Any reason that these would only appear once?

Sometimes things are "just right".
There have been several posts this year about phormiums in bloom, including my own, which they've never done before. The conditions must have been perfect...whatever that is!
Lovely garden!
Goodness me, that's an impressive wall of green ... if that was 2010 is the Leylandii still the same size ... or bigger? However do you trim it? I'm surprised anything grows that close to it.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Thanks. Have wondered about it many times but never bothered to find out before.
We keep looking, but so far nothing more. It survives well considering the conifer hedge takes so much goodness away.
