Is it too late to take privet hedge cuttings ?

Hi everyone, I was wondering if it is now too late to take any hedge cuttings & in particular privet cuttings ? I have taken some rosemary cutting in August and it worked so well that i am very eager to do the same with privet. Thanks for the help lily
