I have two cariegated hollies in quite large pits. We are hopefully moving soon and I would like to put them either side of the front door. This faces north. Would they be ok? If not what else could I put there

Sounds like a good idea and they should be fine.
Variegated or standard green forms ; all hollies are very tolerant of wind , cold , pollution etc. ; and will grow facing any direction of the compass .
I'm sure they will be fine
. Just remember to keep moist throughout the whole year .
Brilliant ive trimmed them down wel into a nice round shape. I though I'd replace a few inches of compost with fresh.
