Kiwi fruit

I have inherited a large kiwi which appears to neither flower nor fruit. I am aware that they need a male and female to fruit. How do I tell if this plant is male or female ? Also is there a universal pollinator I could buy?

    It depends on the variety but if it was grown from seeds of a supermarket fruit, it won't ever flower or fruit in the UK.  I did this about 15 years ago and had 5 or 6 large vines until recently - not one ever produced a single flower.  If you want to persevere, getting the self-pollinating variety called 'Jenny' is your best bet.
