I'm thinking of getting a dwarf peach tree

I'm in the Derbyshire countryside and am thinking of getting a dwarf peach tree but the things I have read about problems with leaf curl have me doubting If I should buy one.

Is leaf curl that big a problem?

  • If you have a shed or greenhouse where you can put it under cover it should not be a problem.

The RHS website says that the fungus that causes it is spread by rainfall and that protecting it from the weather reduces the likelihood of attack. Be vigilant in spring and remove any affected leaves asap to prevent a local build up of infection.
