Sloe Berry?

Hello!!

Could someone tell me if these are slow berries? Found them in a hedgerow next to some blackberries.

Thank you

Sloes come off a quickthorn tree.Prunus spinosa.  It has spines. I don't see any spines. They look more like damsons. (Prunus institia) If you cut it in half, a damson has a thin flat stone like a plum. very tart, but added to sugar they make good jams or pies.
