B&S Quantum XM 35 Engine Rebuild
Hi All,
I'm in the process of rebuilding a broken Briggs & Stratton Quantum XM 35 engine after the conrod snapped in a previous life. I've got all the parts needed to fix the engine, however I'm just looking at the oil slinger/ governor and it seems that it was damaged when the conrod went.
I've got the new slinger, however I'm confused on how to get the old broken slinger off. Does the drive gear (looks like a screw, not sure if that's the correct name for it) slide off the camshaft with a puller? Or, is there something else I need to do?
Please see picture attached of the part I'm talking about (this picture is not of my own part - simply attached for example).
Any help appreciated!
Cheers.

Hi there. Have you tried looking on YouTube? You may find the information you need on there.
Tee hee scroggin, you have me mixed up with a Rezzer friend of mine!
No worries scroggin
Hi both, thanks for the replies, I've searched extensively on YouTube with no luck, yet. I'll try a propane gun & puller on the gear and see if that works. If all else fails, I'll buy a new cam with slinger attached. Cheers.
