Acer white spot
Mini white spots the size of a pin prick keep appearing on Golden Dawn which rub off. On Acer Palmatum the leaves are curling up dry and dropping off! Both are in a 15 inch tub on my balcony as I don't have a garden. What can I do?

This may help
PS Has your Acer palmatum been too dry recently , or exposed to drying winds ?
This is obviously difficult with being on a balcony , but they much prefer rainwater if you're in a hard water area .
Thanks Paul my balcony can be windy at times but I'll try to save them.
My acer (which is also in a pot) leaves are also drying up and falling off now too - I think it is the time of year when they do this. I have slowed down the watering and I have stopped feeding the plants. I think that is the right thing to do now, but I would also like to hear from anyone with a bit more Acer growing knowledge.
Thanks, thats reassuring to know. I'll do likewise.
